Jim Ackerman
Position title: Office Manager

Jim is a UW Oshkosh Alumni and Wisconsin Native (Sconnie) from Fond du Lac whose been in Madison since the late 1980’s, with over 17 years working in Higher Ed. He enjoys music and art, especially Photography. He has also been a volunteer producer, engineer and host at Madison’s community radio station WORT-FM for over 25 years.
Ibrahim Baalbaki
Position title: SSS Advisor

Ibrahim is originally from Milwaukee but has been living in Madison since 2010. He earned his bachelor’s at UW-La Crosse and Master’s degree from UW-Madison. He and his wife became parents in October 2019. Ibrahim is a fan of boxing, basketball, and karaoke.
Fun fact: Ibrahim and his wife recently went on their dream vacation to the Maldives.
Matt Delaney
Position title: Assistant Director for STEM

Matt is originally from Michigan where he was a TRIO alum from Adrian College earning an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Higher Education from Michigan State University. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and his two boys (Ezra and Elias). He also enjoys cooking, playing board games, and roasting/drinking coffee.
Fun fact: The youngest in the family, Elias was three weeks old when they moved to Madison in 2018
Megan McGarry Bouapha
Position title: Assistant Director of SSS & ASAP

Megan is assistant director of the SSS & ASAP programs and also advises CeO Scholars. She holds a B.A. in Spanish and an M.S. Ed in Student Affairs Administration from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. She has been with the CeO since 2011. Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling to Hawai’i to visit family, consuming all methods of entertainment, and seeking out live music.
Fun Fact: Megan is a fan of Korean Dramas and the beloved Kpop group, BTS.
Terrance Paape

Terrance (He/Him/His pronouns) was born and raised in Wisconsin (originally from Milwaukee, grew up in Mukwonago, WI (or mequanego, the traditional home fo the Potowatami Bear Clan). He earned his bachelor degree from Edgewood College in Political Science with a minor in Women’s & Gender Studies and holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota (love the Gophers, but proud to be a Badger!) once in Educational Policy and Administration in Higher Education and the other in Multicultural College Teaching and Learning.
Fun fact: He fully embraces his nerd identity (Fan of Doctor Who, most anime and of course Harry Potter!, he’s in Ravenclaw how about you?) and loves collecting comic books, Funko Pops (he have a huge collection), and lego mini figures (you should see his Harry Potter mini figure collection!).
Shawn Peters

Shari Schoohs

Shari is a UW alumni with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Student Development. She enjoys hiking, bingeing Netflix, and traveling. Shari uses she/her/hers pronouns and is a STEM advisor in CeO.
Fun fact: she hiked a dormant volcano once and had her one and only asthma attack on the way to the top.
Seng Thao

Seng is from Thailand and grew up in Appleton, WI. He enjoys the outdoors and goes camping during the summer every year. He and his partner have two boys, Flynn and Sean.
Fun fact: he reads the anime One Piece and plays Yu-gi-oh.
Kim Vue

Kim was born in Akron, Ohio and mainly grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She is a UW-Madison CeO Alumna, earning her undergraduate degree in Social Welfare. Prior to this role, she previously worked with the PEOPLE Program and is excited to continue her work within the DDEEA–as well as reconnecting with her CeO family! Outside of work, Kim enjoys crafting, trying out new food with her partner, watching her brothers play basketball and spoiling her nephew and niece.
Fun fact: her favorite TV shows include Supernatural, Jane the Virgin, ATLA and Jessica Jones!

Chloe is a senior at UW-Madison majoring in International Business & Marketing. She enjoys music, sports, art, traveling, and documentaries.
