Meet Our Student Staff: Nai’Taija Williams McMorris

Nai’Taija Williams McMorris is a valued CeO Scholar, Lead Peer Navigator, and BSN student pursuing a future in health care. Through her work with CeO, her leadership in the Black Student Nursing Association, and her involvement on the board of For The Femmes, Nai’Taija continues to show a deep commitment to supporting students and building community. She also mentors through the Multicultural and Promise Peer Mentor Program, offering guidance, encouragement, and kindness to those around her.
Nai’Taija’s leadership extends beyond campus. Her conference proposal, “Breaking the Cycle: Addressing Police Violence in Black Mental Health Emergencies,” was selected for the 37th National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE) in 2025, highlighting her dedication to equity, representation, and student advocacy. Nai’Taija was also featured in a WMTV 15 News article about federal loan caps and nursing education, where she shared her hopes of becoming a nurse practitioner and reflected on the financial barriers facing students pursuing advanced health care degrees.
