Five things you should know to understand me:

  • My foundation is my husband and our three cats (we were planning on adopting two kittens but three littermates were left, and we couldn’t bear to separate them. So now we are a family of five).
  • Accepting and appreciating all aspects of myself as a queer and disabled person has empowered me, and I believe in affirming you and all your identities.
  • I identify as multi-racial/mixed race/biracial and am Yonsei Uchinanchu (4th generation Okinawan).
  • I love Beyonce, BTS, and international dramas, especially from East and Southeast Asia.
  • We are all human and deserve compassion and understanding, and I advise with that in the forefront of my mind.

CeO Scholars Say:

“Thank you for always checking in and being an amazing support system. You have helped guide me and continue to provide me with helpful information and resources. Your care and reminders to care for myself have really been beneficial to help learn what to prioritize in my life. Thank you, again.” D. S.

“You are such an amazing individual, every time I could talk to you whether that is about academics or my personal life you are there for me. I appreciate you for this and all that you represent in my life and the life of others.” Y. A. V.

“I was very stressed about studying abroad this semester, but Megan offered a lot of advice and tips that I wasn’t even thinking about. I was very thankful she helped me and I wanted to thank her for all her work.” S. H.

“It means a lot and I always know who to turn to if I am in need of some advice. I feel a strong genuineness when talking to you that really radiates that you care about what you do. Thank you for being you!” M. B.
